The Kevin Turner Story

 

Born in 1946, Kevin worked on his family farm until 1977 and at the age of 31 decided a career change was needed and commenced a business as a life insurance adviser.

Kevin teamed up with National Mutual (now AXA) and became their agent for the area. Working from home he steadily grew his business through the 80’s and 90’s and by 1985 Kevin Turner & Associates Pty Ltd had become a “Premier Plus” agent inside of National Mutual. Premier Plus was awarded to National Mutual’s top 20 agencies within Australia. It was an award that Kevin was to receive every year until 2000.

In 2002 Kevin made the difficult but important break from AXA to join the independently owned life insurance broker and securities dealer, Synergy Advisory Services Pty Ltd.

Kevin realised that being tied to one supplier was hampering his ability to offer choice to his clients. Joining Synergy enabled Kevin to recommend products from all the major insurance providers in Australia, therefore tailoring insurance to meet the needs of his clients.

In October 2005 Synergy Advisory Services was acquired by Millennium3 Financial Services Pty Ltd (M3), a wholly owned subsidiary of ING. For Kevin this meant he could still provide his clients with advice and products from all the major insurance providers, but now had the security of being part of an institutionally owned dealership. This relationship still exists today.

Kevin Turner & Associates is one of the leading Authorised Representatives within the 700 strong M3 dealer group. They consistently feature in M3’s Galaxy of Stars program, which recognises representatives in the top 10 businesses in the dealer group.

As the years have gone by, Kevin’s business has grown to include his sons Treva and Dale as life advisers. Client and adviser management is handled by the support staff in Glenda Say, Charleen Walton and Craig Fermor.

Kevin’s business took another significant step with the launch of Kevin Turner Financial Planning in 2002.  Headed by Financial Planner Chris Ey and with support from Tanya Trapp, Kevin’s business is able to assist clients with a variety of financial planning needs including wealth creation and superannuation.

The secret to Kevin’s business success is as simple as caring for his clients. The ability to be able to make a difference in peoples lives when a crisis is upon them is hugely satisfying to Kevin and his staff. And that is what Life Insurance is all about, support when you really need it.
